Spokane Wine

One of the best ways to experience all of the greatness Spokane has to offer is through its wine. The area's local wineries serve as community gathering spots, help fuel the local economy, and tell the story of our area's rich history.

Also, learning to distinguish between certain types of wine is a lot of fun. With 20 wineries within 10 miles of Spokane, you'll have no trouble developing a sophisticated palate. Here are some of our favorite local wineries to visit this weekend:

  • Helix Wines - 824 Sprague Ave, Spokane, WA 99201
Sip six different types of wines in the beautiful downtown Spokane tasting room at Helix Wines. You'll find comfortable seating and a relaxing atmosphere, making it a great stop for a rainy Saturday afternoon. Order a snack from the small plates menu if you're hungry. Retail purchases are available, as is curbside pickup. The tasting room is open from 1 pm to  6 pm daily.

  • V du V Wines - 12 S Scott St, Spokane, WA 99202
Located in downtown Spokane, V du V Wines is a small and cozy winery with a friendly and welcoming vibe. The winery also hosts rotating exhibits of prints and paintings so you can enjoy local art while you sip. The tasting room is open Friday and Saturday afternoons by appointment, and it's located just down the street from some spectacular Spokane homes for sale.

  • Terra Blanca - 926 W Sprague Ave, Spokane, WA 99201
    Terra Blanca
is located in the beautiful Chronicle Building and offers a wide selection of red mountain estate-produced wines. The tasting room is elegant, and the service is great. Terra Blanca is located near Spokane's restaurants, hotels, and theaters, so it's a great place to begin your night out on the town.

  • Barrister Winery Downtown Tasting Room - 203 N Washington St #100, Spokane, WA 99201
This little rustic downtown winery and tasting room is where you can sip and purchase several of Barrister's award-winning wines. The tasting room is located across the street from the Davenport Grand Hotel and frequently hosts local artists and live music on the weekends. The tasting room is open daily at 12 pm.

  • Bridge Press Cellars - 39 W Pacific Ave, Spokane, WA 99201
Wonderful wines, delicious small plates, and fun live music can all be found at Bridge Press Cellars. The menu features five different types of wine, and the warm and inviting bar and tasting room make this a perfect destination for a special date night. Currently, Bridge Press is open Thursdays from 4 to 7 pm.

  • Robert Karl Cellars - 115 W Pacific Ave, Spokane, WA 99201
This boutique winery produces hand-crafted wines with grapes grown in the Horse Heaven Hills of Columbia Valley, Washington. There are over 9 types you can try at the downtown Robert Karl Cellars retail shop and tasting room. Schedule an appointment, or feel free to stop by Friday from 2 to 4 pm or Saturday from 12 to 4 pm.
